Nature’s Numbers is a hands-on math and engineering camp designed especially for aspiring Math Movers — curious 8–12 year olds who love patterns, problem-solving, building, and asking “Why does that work?”
This camp is intentionally designed to help students maintain math competency and build confidence throughout the summer months. Instead of worksheets or drill-based review, campers engage in applied, meaningful mathematics every day — strengthening number sense, geometry skills, proportional reasoning, and mathematical thinking in a way that feels creative and empowering.
In this immersive experience, campers discover how numbers quietly design the natural world — and how engineers use those same mathematical principles to create powerful, nature-based solutions.
From spiraling seashells to branching trees, from honeycombs to river systems, campers explore the hidden mathematics that shapes nature — then apply those ideas to design resilient structures and environmental innovations.
